Event Policies

OHS 2022 Tail Wag Event Waiver

I assume the risk of participating in the Oregon Humane Society's Tail Wag on July 23, 2022 including, but not limited to illness, traveling to and from the event, falls, contact with guests or event staff, shelter pets, other pets, the effects of weather (including temperature extremes and humidity) and the surface condition of the roads, sidewalks, and lawns. All such risks being understood and appreciated by me.

I also understand and agree that OHS and sponsors may subsequently use, for publicity or promotional purposes, my name, information or image, without liability or obligation to me.

Oregon Humane Society’s first priority is the safety and health of our attendees, sponsors, vendors, volunteers and staff. All attendees will be required to abide by OHS and Lewis and Clark College COVID-19 Protocols, which may evolve as we get closer to the event and may include any or all of the following measures: liability waivers, face coverings, social distancing, non-invasive temperature checks, testing or proof of vaccination. Oregon Humane Society will send an email with any updated protocols as we get closer to the event. Cooperation with published COVID-19 Protocol will be required to enter and participate in the event.

I agree to abide by all the rules of participation in this event. Having read this waiver and knowing these facts, and in consideration of the acceptance of my entry, I hereby for myself, my heirs, executors, administrators or anyone else who might claim on my behalf, covenant to sue, and waive, release and discharge Oregon Humane Society, Lewis and Clark College, event officials, volunteers and any and all other event sponsors, suppliers, agents, independent contractors, employees and any other of negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons or parties named in this waiver.

Tail Wag COVID-19 Policies

Currently there are no restrictions for guests attending Tail Wag. Please check back closer to the event or look for an email for any updates. Tail Wag is an outdoor event with space for distancing during the reception. The dinner is in an open tent and guests are seated with other guests. OHS staff, volunteers, as well as all catering staff and other event staff are fully vaccinated. If you have any questions or concerns, please email us. 

Recommended Attire

Tail Wag is held at the beautiful Estate Gardens at Lewis & Clark College. Appropriate footwear is recommended for cobblestone pathways and grassy lawns. The event is outside. We recommend dressing for the temperature and garden cocktail attire.
